My next Unfrazzle workshop will be at the Brighton Summit on Friday 29th April. The Brighton Summit is run by Brighton Chamber of Commerce as an annual networking event for local businesses, and I'm really excited to be running a one-hour morning session for them called Unfrazzle: regain your calm, relearn your priorities and reclaim your life.
It takes place in the grounds of my old seat of learning (& other stuff), Sussex University in Falmer. If you're a business owner in the area, and you're planning to come along to the Summit, do stop in to my workshop to say hello from 10:15-11:15. I'll be selling copies of Unfrazzle (signed, if you like), the perfect gift for the frazzled person in your life!
Unfrazzle: regain your calm, relearn your priorities and reclaim your life
In this practical, eye-opening workshop, Stephanie Lam – wellbeing writer, storyteller, and teacher in immigration detention – will lead you through an awareness of what habits are keeping you frazzled, and simple steps to turn them around.
You’ll learn how stress is affecting your life in ways you might not have expected, and that managing it is under your control – no matter how busy or broke you might be.
You’ll discover how to get a handle on your smartphone and other tech use, and learn the truth about your ‘frazzle values’.
What is it?
A fun, supportive workshop that includes a quiz to increase your self-awareness, practical tips, a tiny bit of neuroscience, and a huge dose of real-world self-care.
During the session, you’ll learn how to create everyday mini escapes from the stress cycle, using simple tricks and a change in routines that will alter your neural wiring and make you happier, calmer, and return to you some precious headspace.
You don’t need the perfect life in order to be calm. You don’t even need to find the time to do it in. You just need a new approach, and this workshop will show you how.
Who is it for?
This is the self-care workshop for people who don’t do self-care. If you’re time-poor and responsibility-heavy, gift yourself one hour to discover how the solution to your frazzle doesn’t lie in a great escape to the Tuscan hills or a Swiss spa retreat. You have all the tools you need right now, and this will be your guide on how to use them.
